Reading and writing are gifts that allow us to slow down, think carefully, and meditate on truth. Throughout Scripture, God consistently works through words: spoken, remembered, written, and preserved. The prophets wrote. The apostles wrote. The Psalms were written prayers and songs poured out before God. Even today, faithful reading and writing remain ways to reflect, learn, teach, and remember what the Lord has done.
For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you
through the laying on of my hands.
2 Timothy 1:6
There is value in stirring up what God has placed within us rather than allowing it to remain dormant. Writing can become one small way of doing that. Not for self-glory, nor for the appearance of wisdom, but to pursue truth honestly, to sharpen understanding, and to leave room for reflection in a distracted world.
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching
and admonishing one another.
Colossians 3:16a
Some writings may be certain, others unfinished. But all are written with the hope that the Truth is worth seeking carefully, patiently, and prayerfully.
